I'm married with two kids, a dog and cat. Don't any of you men wear the pants in the relationship? :D

J/J

Let's not forget there are others that post here that have it just as bad. :p Infact, I'm mild to a few I've seen.

MicRoMaN 03-10-2003 07:45 PM

depends on how you get your money :D, if you work extra hard for like 6 months then blow it on some mini cars then people might laugh. but if you're loaded...

ralliart 03-10-2003 10:14 PM

lol yeah thats a real good point. I think im gonna be the one thats gonna save up for 6 months and spend it mostly on bits! haha :D

dabigpig 03-10-2003 11:07 PM

I sat down with the wife last night and asked her point blank if she had a problem with the money I was spending on these. She wasn't too upset, but agreed it could've been better spent on something more important. Can't argue there, but when we sat down for the night to watch a movie, I noticed the price-tag. It was the One Hour Photo DVD. Price-tag: $19.95. My wife hates renting movies. So when a movie comes out that she hasn't seen or just one she really liked, she just buys it. After the movie I ran downstairs to count how many she bought in the last 5 months (about the time I started buying micros). She easily has 50 new DVDs. Well I chewed her out! If she keeps spending money like that, I won't have any left for my micros. :D

I didn't really chew her out, but it just goes to show that we all have our vices. Oh and I almost forgot to mention.... I quit smoking a month ago. You know how much money I was spending on cigarettes? Now it's all going to micros.

Yeah i would like to have a big movie collection, but not enough money for that...maybe thats because im 14 :D haha

Good for you Stridex on quitting smoking! I would want my dad to quit, hes smoking a lot less....but i dont think he QUIT yet. more money for micro r/c's!!

I have well over 200 dvds, like your wife i don't like renting (or I should say returning). I still smoke nearly 2 packs a day and they cost over $5 a pack. I just got in a couple of clones some bats and some motors and am waiting for 3 more orders to come. (all micro related) I really can't think of any real spending that my wife does so I do feel bad sometimes (not really:p ) but if it wasn't this it would be something else. I say to her atleast it's not crack (thank you namuna;) )

nrmcj 03-11-2003 07:10 PM

stridex wins. period. he's got mad bits, quit smoking, and has money for more bits. !! gj on quitting man!! i cant believe how much those things cost.. on the rare occasion we pull cigars... havent done in over a year... heh, the humidor's getting mighty full...

tiberius 03-11-2003 08:19 PM

I've thought these things were like crack.

Let's see...
4 Tomy skyline spec. editions
4 Toyeast H1 Hummers
2 Microsizers
2 Tomy Booster Machines
Tomy Fairlady Z Booster
Tomy AM Set
2 Leyu Clones
1 Fit Racer
1 Little Racing Car
4 Wild Char-G's

Somewhere in the neighborhood of $500...damn! Now I'm pissed at myself. That's one hell of a lot of lap dances I could have had :)

LOL.

What is it that makes you keep buying these? What is the control they have over us?

Anyone know where I can buy CHEAP display cases like this one? This is my mini-z case.
