messing with gearsets is pretty much pointless. keep the stock ones on.
have you put a second battery in? your car aint nothing until you do. |

Thanks for the suggestions. |
why low speed?
i go for high speed/high torque/great handling |

buy any "super racing" "panther" "shen que wei" "cyclona" or whatever they all have better motors than tomy. especially in the torque department.

Re: I need torque, not speed!
- 12:1 Gearset, "Torquiest" for sure
- 1.0 or 1.6 definitely as the motor (no need for a BULLET train right?) - Consider getting a Booster car! When you're first pulling out of the Station (from a standstill) you can jam the boost button until you get a steady run going and then let it go back to unboosted for normal travel. In Boosted mode, the PCB lets through a good amount more current (which equates to torque) vs. a stock MS This sounds like a fun project for you and your young'un...Good luck with it! |

my apologies
i didnt read about your train getup. i would suggest finding "thunderbolt" racing cars or the "thor" ones that aint yellow. they have hardwired motors that are exactly what you are looking for. high torque with absolutly horrible top end. two of them with two batteries will let you pull just about anything. |

Last question. Is there any way to boost current directly from the PCB rather than relying on a second battery for the current boost (a second battery, I'm guessing, also increases speed, along with torque)? |

I have the 350z booster and ran tests on it...If you want to know 'how' a booster works, check out the thread:
