This is also a possibility, if you have an inexpencive charger you can charge AA cells(maybe AAA cells I'm not sure) with this. If they blow up in your face don't blame me. ;)
http://www.brpracing.com/450.html P.S. This is a very nice site you have here. :) |
True, not sure what the precise charge rate becomes with that device though. We're going to be stocking an inexpensive charger for the 6-cell very soon.

Hmmm if it's a wall unit you might not be able to use it. The power runs at 110v here, what is it in the UK?
|
Hmmmm I'm not sure I think it's 240v AC.
|
Also I think your plug sockets are different to ours. :(
Looks like I won't be getting a Mini-x now... :( |
Wait a sec Aust runs on 240 as well, do your plugs look like this?
/ \ -l- with out the "-'s" I just ahd to do that so it looked right. If so you might be able to get a charger from www.radiomodels.com.au for cheap. Even if it is a different plug you can get a plug converter for cheap. But instead of all this I'm sure you can get a cheap charger over there that can charge the mini-x packs. |
Bez, power is not an issue, it's a 12VDC input, just use your car, or an AC->DC adapter.
|
fatdoggy our plugs are different to that. The only way I could do it is to get a converter like you said. I have converters for the plugs in other countries, but I would need a converter that would convert it to an English style plug - where would I get this?
I've just emailed my LHS, hopefully they might have a charger for me. Quote:

You mean an aussie plug that converts to a british plug... I'm not sure, radiomodels might be able to get one.... I have no idea.
Before checking this out wait for the reply from your lhs, if they don't have a charger you could use I'll be surprised. :D |
No adapters are needed, you can use any 12VDC power source, such as a battery or your car!
