where did you get that from?? how much?? thanks |
EXACT! Replica (well all most)
Yesterday I picked up a clone call RALLY RACER for a drugstore here in SD for $10.00 and it is almost a perfect clone.
Same heatsink, Pink 3.8 motor (completly interchangable with microsizers) Same bodies (Really cool rally bodies, exact same skyline body I purchaced for my m/s. 35mhz for 3 car racing had 45mhz too. Axles didn't fit though but need to look a little closer I may just need to trim the chassis a little bit. |
Ok after looking at this clone closer especialy the axle. This is the perfect clone!
All I had to do to get my M/S axle to fit was to cut the extra plastic at the axle mount and now every thing works perfect! |
Watch what you do with the motor works cars. They are very sensitive and everyone that i know of has broken over a few weeks time.

I just used my motorworks car parts pcb, motor etc. etc. They all still work. Parts I used I mean.
Just finished tweaking the clone I got friday. I lubed up with graphite, removed the extra plastic flashing near the axel mounts. And now all my spare parts work on this clone. It is a perfect microsizer clone. |
Good to hear. I was getting a little worried about swapping my other working MW's PCB board into a ZZ. But, now I'll give it a shot and see if it's just just that one car with the problem. Great part is the steering wires come with the PCB board. Only four wires to solder and two magnets to glue in to finish a swap. I pray they don't have a component in there the burns out easily. That's what I'm think the problem is on my broken one. Called their hotline and they're closed today. I'll try tomorrow.
|
Actully I recommend unsoldering the steering wires from the pcb (it's really easy) and resolder the zips wires to the clone pcb.
|
The MW's steering is much more advanced. Having the magnets on the sides is what I like. It attracts and pushes off at the same time when steering.

Just got the...
Rally Racers from Cub Foods today. As close in appearance to a MicroSizer that you can get. Nice bodies, but they are molded in white with painted windows. Cheesey paper-backed stickers with generic logos.
http://home.mn.rr.com/johnrtse/RCmicrocars/RCclone2.jpg http://home.mn.rr.com/johnrtse/RCmicrocars/RCclone1.jpg Black PCB cover, good gear mesh, motor endbell color differs between the two I bought (pink & off-white), but a 2.2 K.I.T. motor in each made a noticeable speed improvement. The steering is ok at best- we'll see what a set of rare earth magnets do in these ;) I like these, especially at $9.99 each retail! John |
Bro that skyline is the exact same body that came on my shen clone and the disription you gave with the black pcb cover is the same as the shen's maybe they are they same company making two or so diffrant names.I have 5 cars all together and i love my shen its the fastest and handles the BEST,My bit cant hang and my zip/w shen pcb cant ether the microsizer i bought from the local hobbie shop is a parts car now becouse the stering wires broke and i got frustrated so i un soderd the pcb for parts.
|
Hmm perhaps its a Shen with a slower motor? A rare earth will improve your steering a lot. I would also do the cat5e ant. upgrade. 9.99 huh? Thats awesome but if you need to add a motor that almost doubles the price.
RIP |
I picked up a Rally Racer and put in ny 3.4 and it flies much faster than my LXX with the 3.4. I personally rank them slightly higher on the clone scale than the Panther. I think they are Shen Qi Wei's, but under a different label.

It's called a Desktop Rover. They are off road tracked vehicles. The only downside is that it costs $60 (US) The range is 90 feet out of the box, but the speed is VERY slow |
