I could turn out hundereds of these boards from my basement if i wanted, the biggest problem you have is getting hold of the main IC on the board, the top marking are all scraped off to stop people copying it on mine (i bought it from him), and it is probably a pic controller that needs to be programmed and someone would need to write the program code to upload into the chip,

You could buy 10 ultimate light mod kits for the cost of all the parts you would need to produce you own, and then you need the board etching and software programming skills to be able to produce the boards,

For the amount of work that has gone into this kit, i would say that you'd be very hard pushed to match the quality and features of his kits

Actually finding out what the chip is should be easy for anyone familiar with electronics, but I have to agree the parts, etching supplies and the work needed to STEAL the design is more expensive than just buying it. I will be buying more than one.

BTW, don't ask, I will not divulge the chip type but I have figured out what it is, and if I am correct it does not require any programming skills.

Hey!

That's exactly what I want to do but need to know the IC he is using. All the other components are pretty simple to figure out. Bassicaly he uses the output of the PCB (in the car) to activate the specific LED circuitry. The cuircitry is powered by a 3V coin cell.

The only thing I need is the IC. What part # is it?

I want one but I want to build it myself. It's going to be cheaper for me to build it since I have all the parts I need except for the IC.

Kit.
