with the tierods themselves you can see here that you need to clip or sand them off so they dont bind with the awd. also you'll need to clip a bit off the servo horn

hmm i cant really tell which ones are which in those pictures. i used the tan colored ones. 10k's. just look for two with the bands brown-black-orange-gold. some bit controllers have just one and others have two. maybe you could use 2 others? like between 10k's and 3.7k's? i mean some guys on the xmodworld board used 3.7's. i just had a bunch of bit controllers lying around and i decided to see if i could find any resistors in them and i did so yeah.:D

too hard to sodder with it still in the car. and the servo wont wanna come out w/o you pulling the whole car apart. which i find really annoying. just becareful not to rip any wires off.

I soldered in 4.7k resistors tonight and this thing is great. I inined them to the back of th servo similar to the post on the Japansese site. (Not as neat, but it works). If this was hard, I can't imagine what it would have been like to put those little guys on the pcb. OK, here are some informal comparisons I did. I ran the car in a circle to the left and right on my hardwood floor. I counted how many "boards" the circle was.

Before Mod:
Left 21
Right 16

After Mod
Left 11
Right 11

The boards are about 2" wide, BTW.

As predicted I got about a 50% reduction. I am very happy. It might not sound like much, but the car handles much better now.

I wonder how this compares to a Mini Z or IWaver. Sure, I know the mini has more steps, but I am curious to see how sharp it turns. Thanks again to all of you that gave me advice on the steering fixes.

this mod is awesome, i can't believe how much better i can turn. did anybody lose some speed though by doing this? let me know, thanks.

something might be rubbing?

i can't find anything rubbing. i think the skyline is just slower than the supra stock.

all the cars are the same fastness. could somebody post a picture of the mod that they have done? did you solder the resistors onto the board then the wires to the resistors? or solder the resistors onto the part in the servo.

well i dont have pics or anything but it goes
board=wires=resistors=servo

you sodder the wires off the servo contact thing (slide the shrink wrap outta the way) then sodder the ends of the resistors to the wires then the other ends to the servo. that other picture you posted is a good example
