X-Ray
the few people I have seen run X-rays have made the RS4 people look just plain silly. Plus the X-Ray can hold up to 10 cells easily (it's made to, but you have to use a full size ESC instead of a micro) where it's tought to make 6 fit in an RS4.

Another want on my want list, the M18...this is going to be a spend-spend-spend year :(
|
www.rcmart.com has a good selection of ESC's, servos, radio systems, and motors. I would recommend that you stick with the stock motor for a while, get used to the speed and characteristics of the car, then maybe go with a bigger motor.
|
the motor comes with the car? RCCA had to buy a separate motor. they didnt say anything about a stock motor. any place that makes electronics small enough to fit in the XMODS so that you can keep the 4WD
|
Oh, I thought the XRay came with a motor. :o
I think the RS4 kits come with one. |
Most of the local hobby shops here have or can get the Xray M18. DON'T BUY FROM RCMART/DINBALL because they'll cahrge like $50 or more shipping as their crap comes from HONG KONG!!!! The X-ray doesn't come with a motor or ESC so that you can choose what you want a 180-540 size motor and the appropriate ESC to handle it. This is a REAL RC car, not a toy. The Micro RS4 is still just a toy compared to this!
|
XMods are toys compared to both the RS4 and the XRay M18. ;)
|
I wonder if the M18 chassis can be raised. I'd like a rally machine, not a monster truck.
EDIT: Man, I didn't realize how much off topic we're going here. |

I've seen a m18 at a LHS for around $80.00
|
That's not a bad price, especially for a hobby shop.

WOW
80$ is geat!!! They're $109 here! Also aperson, yes all of dinball/rcmart's stuff is like that. If you order a $10 part, you'll likely pay 25-$30 shipping. It's coming from Hong Kong for Pete's sake. Buy from somebody in the US or Canada.
