Take out your old batteries, then put the IC3's in. Not hard.

^Use it. They give you less peaking and a more steady voltage delivery, plus you'll save on batts in the long run.

"NiCad" batteries have the memory issue relative to recharging; "NiMH" batteries do not.

The Rayovac IC3 rechargable battery is a NiMH battery, therefore it will not suffer the memory issue. The "IC3" refers to a technology of recharging which, in this case, places some of the process controls within the battery itself instead of the charger.

The 15-minute recharging time will undoubtedly be a big benefit over the longer period of "non-IC3" types, but I would expect that an "800mAh IC3" would power the car no differently than an "800mAh (non-IC3) NiMH" battery. But, (obviously) it could be an improvement over a 700 or 750 NiMH battery...

from what i know NHawk is right. but Ni-MH batteries need to be stored at a full charge.

I found some 850mah AAA online and was wondering if those will be too strong for the car?{fry something out} or is that too small of a difference to worry about. The 850's do take about 5 hours to charge though. Does anyone think that these are worth trying?
As close as most cars are racing, it would be nice to have every little edge. And I've found (like everyone else says) that the IC3's are better than the R.S. greens so will these be a little better?

R.S. green Nimh 700mah.
Rayovac IC3 Nimh 800mah.
Suppo cellplus Nimh 850mah. -- (the next step in Nimh?)

I think I'm going to order a set and see how they work.

If they are better than the rest, I think they are worth the extra charge time.

Have you tried the SUPPO 850's? Or do you just prefer the GP's?

mah is how much power a battery can hold..... i dont see how a car can run faster with more mah...... i do see how they can last longer tho...

I dont know exactly why they are faster, maybe they output a little faster. I've run with rs greens and I've run with 15min. Rayovac 800's and there is a noticable difference. I will be getting these 850's by the weekend and I let you all know how they do. charge time, run time, power, esc...

mA=Milliamps/ More amps= more power (from what I've heard)
Some batts ar a little more resistant. So a 800mAh "green cell" and a 750 mAh may be different.
It's all about the quality.


Oh yeah there's some 900=1000mA Ni-Mh AAA batts. floating around i think.
