I am not directly connected to the series but a regular on here going by the name Savior*insider is and he may be one of the judges.

Now I am not saying that the ones running the events may not know what some of these mods we do are but, during a race if your car outperforms everyone else then they will be watching you.

Anyone ever thought that for checks they could just run it on a dyno?

If they had a dyno that could measure torque and HP/watts, then yes...but a speed checker wouldn't be able to do it.

yeah, if you are talking to me about my bit track, well... it is okay. i havent toched it since i last posted in the tracks section. we(my friend and i) need to find a track material that works good, and we need to finsh the road. it is still siting on my ping pong table. mabye i will work on it sometime soon... also none of my 1/64s work right now:(

A speed checker is good way to test a car's power. I think a 4 celled XMOD goes no faster than 20km/h.

They should test the blue motor with 4 cells and metal bearings and test its top speed. No car should be any faster than that.

Also rechargables!

Well, it wouldn't be the best, but I guess that would work...though I doubt they'd use it because it's made by one of their competitors, Tamiya.

Taimya isn't even in the same league as radioshack.

newbitowner 02-22-2004 09:57 PM

Is Tamiya the only company that makes speed checkers?

RS can make their own.

They could just do different race classes, only a loser would try to sneak his 6th cell into the stock class.
