I use PNRacing 1.25v "AAA" batteries, they are 800mAh.
I beat my brother all the time racing stock cars(4 cells).

it will give much more power. you are right that the 1100 will just give you much more runtime, but these batts can push about 30amps. i use the same type of batts in my micro rs4. i also have a tuned 370 motor, and it goes about 30-35mph. they will give you more power. they are hobby quality 2/3A cells.
