I don't know if yall know this but you can already get a laymans tri cell in rs. Just look around in the portable phone batteries and there it is

does any body know how to wire 6 batteries (button) in 3 series and 3 parralelle that way you have extra speed and run time. Correct me if i am wrong

i called up my ratshack, they said that 960 products are special order products. dayum. can someone post any of the other batteries they ahve that would work?

You could buy this or wait 1-2 days and spend 7 bucks with shipping on a laymans cells. allelectronics sells 'em for 1.50 each, so I suggest a group buy.

allelctronics has been out of them for quite sometime, and when i inquired this is the reply i got from them:
Sorry, we no longer have a vendor for this item

and this is the reply i got from rat shack about the button cells they have (inquiring about what type of cell they are):
We have found the current model of this battery is nickel cadmium (NiCd). We understand when this current model runs out and we receive a new shipment, it will be nickel metal hydride (NiMH). Unfortunately, we do not have a timetable as to when this will take place.

so it might be a bit before we see a useable model from rat shack.
