looks like the so called 'fake buttons'may be something else.possebly a booster function)proobally not)what else could it be:confused: mybe they needed some room for a circit board in the controll i doght it tho

They are only fake in that nothing happens when you press either button. Besides a boost function, what else would we need?

at the moment the buttons do nothin on mine either.i hope that it is a booster and a brake, but i was just thinking u no the steering is set (it has the same steering circle constantly)maybe it could b to open it out so it didnt turn as sharp.
dus any1 work for tomy? as i would really like tyo talk to them

I don't know a lot about electronics but I do about computers and those look like they should do "something" right outta the box. I mean, they are wired to a contact plate and the motherboard and the buttons have the "contact" piece already in them.

Kinda disapointing that they are not being used currently, just outta curiosity have you tried that controller with a MSPro car?

I doubt a super controller would control a regular bit. My son plays with a 27mhz and the lp500 is also 27mhz A sub-freq. and it will not interfere with his.

No problem, just can't judge a poster by his writtings. It's all good!

The circuit boards are in place and wired. The buttons have no contacts to close the circuit. My best guess is that they are Booster functions already built in, just have to have the car to make it function and of course the button contacts.

You said it had A, B, and C functions right? Try putting it on "C" and see if the light on the controller turns on when you push the buttons. If it does, I'll bet it will boost it. Also, those graphite pads on the back of the buttons are what close the circuit.

The controller has A,B,C selectable sub-frequencies. Only one of the newly released bits is on 40mhz. The other three are 27mhz A,B,C. The on light stays on constantly while the controller is switched on and the charge light is only lit while charging of course. The simple fact that the buttons seem to be wired to anything at all is pretty exciting. And why two buttons and not one? We can speculate till the cows come home, but only time will tell.

They do contact. It doesn't look like it, but they are working circuit switches. As for what they're used for, I'm not sure. Could be a booster button and something else, but I don't think we'll know until somebody picks up a special set. My guess is that whatever they do, they do it on one of the special sets.

I picked up a 27bmhz porsche. The controller can't be used on any of my other cars. The regular multiband controller made for the booster sets also has a, b, and c freqs, but they are a different a, b, and c. "A" controls regular cars, "b" controls booster cars and "c" controls booster cars without using the boost functon (full speed).

Murc, the controllers are a bit different. They don't light up when the buttons are pushed, the light turns on when you turn the controller on (kinda sucks, eh).

Well, that's not exactly true PR, of the 4 I ordered, 2 are 40mhz & 2 are 27mhz. different codes though.

Boho, The actual buttons do not contact. If you take apart the controller you'll see that there are no metal contacts in the buttons, only clear rubber springs. No contacts, No contact, and the buttons will not function without them period!
