In november 2002 was a tttt-event on a hobby fair in Berlin, germany. Ithink the "Gallery" Forum is a good place to show the fun we have.

If you stay in germany in March:
In Sinsheim near Heilbron is the Model Fair "Faszination Modellbau" (13.03.2003 -16.03.2003).

There we have the next german tttt-event.

Hi arch2b,
There ist only one rule/guidline during the events:
maximun size fun with minimum size trucks ;-)

OK, the TTTT-rules you will find at www.mikromodell.de (just look at "truck trial")

But this are ony a first version of the rules. Mostly it is more fun just to follow another car.
The first one looks at a difficult route and the other cars try to follow him. If one of them unable to pass a barrier, the first try to help by usin chains or a windlass.

Thats why some of my cars have working windlass ;-)

thorsten- i assume you ment 'winch' instead of windlass? i hadn't thought about a working wench. (wheels turning in head) i guess it would need another servo motor, speed controller, i guess fishing line would work (it's really thin and strong) and make a hook for the end. what more would you need in terms of tx and rx?

Hi arch2b,
sorry my electronic translator isn't perfect ;-)

You need a few parts to create a working wench. A small motor (I take a 4mm Motor out of a cellphone-vibrationalarm).
2 wormgears and 2gears to reduce the speed. One free outputchanel of your reciver, a speedcontrole an a controlerstick on the transmitter. Thats all ;-)

Here you see a picture of the wench of my Kaeble heavy-transporter.

OK, close up for a better view of the motor. You may see the wormgear of the motor above the "large" gear in the middle of the picture

At last, a view from rear. Here you see the 4mm Motor and the wench. At the left side you will see the gears.
The rope is a part of a very thin fishing-line (I know, i should buy a new translator). The hoke is selfmade by usin a 0.3mm brasswire.

Hi rallger,
it is an "Iveco" 7.5 ton truck. The kit is from "MAAK". This was a "sister company" from Herpa.

Some additional informations you can see at:

http://home.t-online.de/home/tfeuchter/LKW/iveco_e.html

The kit is sold out since 2 years. So its difficult to get one of them.

best regards

Thorsten I saw your MAN5 "Prolog" and was wondering how much it would cost in American money to build on just with parts from www.tttt-parts.org .

you've answered half of your question yourself;) ...go to the website and check the prices, they sell whole kits now...go to the resources thread and you can find the prices for the truck and electronics.

This may sound dumb but I can't read the german on www.tttt-parts.org unless someone can help. I may be a german but I was born in the USA.

a little trick i use, go to the site through google and google will give you an option to translate the page. this doesn't work for all websites. the translation isn't perfect but you get the gist of what he's saying. peter told me he is working on an english version to be out soon. he also registered as a member here too but doesn't seem to respond or post?
