HMm... if i read qfm right, u have to use the same exact two kinds of batteries if you want it to work. I use two stock ni-cd, after i fried 2. sooner or later ill buy some ni-mh.

NiCads lose power gradually over the cycle of a charge.

NiMH maintain power until almost the very last moment, then basically dies.

Just the fact of those differences ALONE would make it a bad idea to set them up together.

Redfire, DO NOT mix cells at all, they do not charge or discharge in the same manner and thus very bad things will happen! Always match NiCd with NiCd and NiMH with NiMH, and match the capacities too. :)

WHEW!!!! Thank you very much for clearing that up for me. Another question, how long does 2 NiCD batteries [together] last? How about the 2 NiMH?

cadium doesnt last for crap. Well it lasts, but it WEARS like hell. If i were you, save the 8 bucks, and buy yourself some hydrates. The cadiums are optimum for like maybe 2-3 minutes, but after that youll notice the power drop. I heard with hydrates, itll last like the whole 4 or whatever minutes, and when its gonna die, it just does, not wears its way down. Thats more helpful in a race, than cadiums would be.
