I took the paint off my car with rubbing alcohol and Q-Tips! It works awesome.

xXx_Vegito_xXx
12-06-2002, 05:20 PM
I used rubbing alcohol i just soaked it and took a Q-tip to rub it off

xatu
12-06-2002, 05:24 PM
In my not so humble opinion.....the side looks the best. And, I don't like s2000's very much, because they are usually quite ugly with some paint jobs, but you made this one look awesome! :D

BTW, does the paint weigh your car down at all?

xXx_Vegito_xXx
12-06-2002, 05:32 PM
so wut do u guys think?

xXx_Vegito_xXx
12-06-2002, 05:33 PM

DriveWRX
12-06-2002, 05:37 PM
Hey xXx_Vegito_xXx,

Nice job. It's a little dark for me, but it's your car! :p Now let's see it on the chassis!

 I'm a little confused...
I'm trying to understand what you did.

You painted your car red first and let that dry. Then you painted black over the red. Then you took some of the black off with the Q-tip & alcohol. Is that right?

xXx_Vegito_xXx
12-06-2002, 05:41 PM
the car is the same as it was before except that the paint. i just taped them off if i were to use rubbing alcohol it would have taken all the paint off but yeah

xatu
12-06-2002, 05:55 PM
Ok, now I get why you put 4 coats of red paint on! :D

xXx_Vegito_xXx
12-06-2002, 05:57 PM

Man Shypo,

Sorry, the EVO's already on it's way! :D

Thanks for the kind words, though. Yeah, I used to build model cars (mostly race). I entered local model contests too. I won Best Detail of Show once!
So, that's where I get my painting skills...

I'm painting another EVO this weekend. It's going to be Yellow/Silver (different than my Red/Silver one).

I'll post pics when I'm done. Hopefully sometime this week.

Meanwhile, check out my Red/Silver EVO with 5-spoke wheels! :D

I got them off a Nakamichi N Racer. Very hard to find now! :(

All I did was swap out the fronts (knuckles and all). I had to narrow the rear axle a little to get it to work on the Bit chassis. I used Stock Bit tires 'cause the N Racer's sucked.

Easy! :D :D :D

Let's all remember, the car is the length of a key! For the size of the vehicle is has very few errors and is VERY impressive. Good job DriveWRX!

Here are my lastest projects.
Let me know what you think... ;)

First, my EVO.
It's not finished, I need to do some detail painting and tint the windows.

DriveWRX
12-13-2002, 08:29 PM
Second, my S2000.
Graphics are painted! This needs some detail painting too.

wow, drivewrx, u sure make one of the best droped bits, i ever seen. those nakamichi wheels are what making it look the best! im going 2 buy a nakamichi, but dose a bit or zz body fit it?

Thanks for the compliment, henry! :D :D :D

Actually, those aren't Nakamichi wheels. Both cars are MicroSizers with stock wheels.

And to answer your question...
The body is screwed on the Nakamichi, so Bit or ZZ bodies won't fit without mods.
Anyway, I think Bits/MS handle better than an N Racer! :p

   HOLY SHIAT! That's the best dam s2000 I've ever seen! It's deadly :D Nice lowering job!

DriveWRX
12-13-2002, 09:42 PM
Thanks for the kind words! :D

That's the best lowering job I've done so far!
I like the colors, but I'm not entirely happy with the graphics. They didn't come out like I imagined.
I also put a mesh on the grill and behind the brake vents. :p

Thanks! ;)

It's a really good first paint job! I like the way you did it, too.
I like brighter colors, yours' is a little dark for me, but it's cool!

I'm not a big fan of the S2000 until I dropped it! :D :D :D
When it's dropped the S2000 ain't so bad! :p

Actually, they're not "flames". I guess the best term for it is "paint rip" (Thanks carb0)
Anyway, I made the graphics by masking with tape and painting with an airbrush! I used an X-Acto knife to make the jagged edge on the tape. Talk about eye strain!

As for lowering, go HERE (http://groups.msn.com/theadmiralslair/bitcharggallery.msnw?Page=23). Look for the Lowering Mods pics.

Have fun! :D
