I was checking out the Digi-Q cars at thinkgeek.com:
http://www.thinkgeek.com/cubegoodies/toys/5ad6/

But also came across "Micro Racers" at:
http://www.paramountzone.com/racer.htm

Has anyone had any experience with the Micro Racers or can recommend which would be better?

Thanks for any help.

Have you seen this thread: Nikko Digi-Q Clone problems (http://tinyrc.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=5593) ?

I believe there are many like them through out this site. I don't have 1st hand experience with one. BUT from what I have heard Digi Q's seem to be of much higher quality and work alot better.

I found out that the controller was the culprit on that one. It had been dropped or something. Anyhow my replacement RAWKS, and I'm going to be playing around with my iRacer some more. I'm pretty good at electronics, computers, etc. Hacking the IR Digital-Proportional cars sounds like more fun to me anyways.

Right now, I'd like to find out some differences between my iRacer and the Digi-Q. I can tell you this, stock for stock, go buy a digi-q! They are a tad faster out of the box than this Nikko clone I have, but this clone is DAAAMN fast compared to the Radio-Control non-proportional cars I have (and I have done a lot of hacking on them)

I say if you have the cash to afford the real thing, then do it. I was limited to what toys-r-us had in stock for my purchase (gift card) and they don't carry any tiny RC's except for microsizers and iRacers, so iRacer it was.

I'll start a new thread so we can compare notes on iRacer Versus Digi-Q.
