It's kind of cool how the Mazda's headlights aren't LED lights. Makes it more realistic.

Look like dNaNo's to me...In the one pic you can see part of a guys finger in the top right hand corner of the pic...and the wheel mounting screws also look like dNaNo...not Mini-Z. Just my opinion from looking at the pics - either way they are way cool! I hope we do get a light kit for the dNaNo - that would be sweet!

Hey NanoTrax - I just registered for your web-site/forum and look forward to receiving my login info to start checking everything out. Your whole set-up/idea is AWESOME! I wish I had the time/money/motivation to do something similiar here in the U.S. I look forward to tracking what is going on with NanoTrax and wish you all the best of luck with your new business! :)

thanx... its a very new concept & i hope it goes well. the states is such a large, spread out market while here things r a bit more concentrated. i appreciate your support ;)

OT, but ditto, cool stuff NanoTrax, we're working on a somewhat related concept and I'd love to compare notes sometime! :) Btw, your post "Mini-Z Alpha by Atomic" - you do realize that Atomic (http://rcatomic.com/)is an RC product manufacturer, while Atomic Mods are an unrelated online retailer, right? I know it can be confusing as I think AM deliberately try to obscure this fact (similarly they pretended that GPM products were theirs in the past) - which is unfortunate for Atomic who are a respected manufacturer. :)

ah, the ambiguity of the internet... i'll do my best 2 stay outta that one. but thanks for the heads up, posting about AM won't become a habit, believe me :)

Hehe NP! :) Btw, have you checked out http://mini-zracer.com? That's the place to go for Mini-Z info! 12,000+ Mini-Z fans and experts vs. whatever staff at AM are still hanging on. :)

Here's how the Japs do a lighting kit on the dnano. Seems very complicated...

well, i guess they have all the perks in japan... looks like the light kits are already available there & many bodies i've never seen. sweeet, can't wait to get our hands on more :)

as we do not have a kyo rep keeping us up to date on what is available yet, would one of you more knowdgeable persons want to create a thread exclusively for product information and releases? could be as simple as listing all available kyo dnano parts, autoscales, kits, etc. hopefully with pictures. please do not link to kyo pictures but save and upload them to a gallery. this will prevent us from suffering from kyo's frequent website changes. i can arrange gallery space here if needed, would be preferrable as well as it would be permanent.

i can then sticky this post.

this doesn't mean you can't start posts for individual products, infact, links to seperate threads can be indexed in the sticky post as well.

I bet a lot of these bodies we're seeing are custom job's, and probably slot-car bodies?
I really like the clear DTM style racer, can't tell what car it is, but look's cool!
A light kit won't be that difficult, but it will be small. Look at the light kit's they have for some slot-cars, and I think even Radio Shack's Zip-Zap's have lights?

Looks similar to the LED's used to make night flying blades for helis very small and lightweight along with low power draw.looks like the circuit comes in at about .39 grams probably about the same if not less for the LED's.The wiring will be the major weight gain.

Can anyone translate better than babblefish from the site with the Japanese d'NaNo lights? I would be in for ordering 12-14 of these if the price was decent ... and we could probably do a mass-order for others who were interested at the same time ...just need someone who can access the Japanese site and tell us more or act as a go-between.

please let me know if you find suitable translator and or options to move forward.

Has anybody looked into the light kits available for the Team Losi Micro-T? Would those work, or are they even too big? What about the lights made for the small Bit-Char'G's?

...all of the lights from the many Zip Zaps I have would surely work, but installing would literally be pain in the rear, and front. The reason the Japanese solution is so well-liked, is that they have developed a circuit board that triggers brake lights, etc. Elegant and it plugs right in. The only concern would be over battery drainage, although I doubt the tiny LED that are used drain much, and even if they did, you could compensate by going to a 180-200 MAH battery.

What surprises me is why Kyosho doesn't have a few Autoscale bodies with lights pre-installed. I'm sure there are many that would gladly pay a premium, considering the lights would/should cost the same as a nice set of aluminum wheels.

Not just the LED's them selves eat energy, but the circuitry needed to control the brake light's and what not. That probably eats more energy than the LEDs.
Japanese have always been clever at those tiny things than we are.
