I got my XMOD awhile back and i've got the Skyline with suspension and body, as well as stage two motors. I want to begin doing custom mods, I just need a good place to start. PS I know you get this type of post alot on these forums.

Try the bearing upgrade. I have it in two of my cars. Longer run times, better accleration, and higher top speeds. What's not to love?

The mounds of hair and dirt that get lodged all between the axles and wheels. If you get the bearings, make sure you're on a spotlessly clean surface, or get the Mini-Z sealed bearings.

I'd start with the suspension, sort of like protecting the thing from going out of control and being smashed. Make a few sets of custom springs (http://www.tinyrc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17081&highlight=dual+rate+springs), find some better tires from another car (the XMODS slicks are terrible), maybe fix the uneven steering (http://www.tinyrc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17324).

Then go for some kind of motor and more cells and/or FETs. Have a look around, there's plenty to see here.

if i were you id devide the work into steps, so being step 1 including a lsd stiffer suspension set up, and basicly mod and tinker both stock and r.s. parts, all the while practising your driving ability. step 2 could include purchasing high grip tires as well as many other upgraded bolt on parts (great sorce of performance parts is rcmart.com) and finally with step 3 go extreme, fets, lipoly, 7.2V.

btw you cant forget the body, make dat sucker shine
