It requires the XVid (http://www.xvid.org/) codec. You can use the one on their homepage linked above, or you can try ffdshow (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow) which is a nice, fast directshow filter that plays divx3-5 and xvid.

Let me know if you have any trouble getting the video to work or have other comments.

Thanks. Shame it couldn't be more of a performer to show off for people, but I'm gonna work on that. I think thats my favorite bit about the mini-x, that you have to work a bit harder to mod it and it has fantastic potential. If you have a Z you can do many cool mods, but most involve buying off the shelf alloy parts. So I guess the difference is that the X doesn't have the flashy over the shelf mods... Anyway, ordered some of the squat neopower magnets from mini-zracer.com. They should help torque to get those new overland tires moving. Didn't have any BB motor cans in stock unfortunately.

So my planned mods are to go with xmod rims (if I can), overland tires, prehaps shave the suspension stops to raise it further, and install the neo mags.

I'd like to do the xmod suspension mod, tho your take on it is interesting. I will also add to your quick change argument that they look cooler too :P I also want to pick up a capacitor to give some punch on takeoff.

I wish more people had access to digital cams, I think the forums would be that more informative. I'm most curious about the more serious modders, I think it'd be great to see how/where the seriously modded cars run. It may not be in person, but if the cam can do video, its a lot better than "it's hella fast".

P.S. Does my X seem to be as fast as it should be for stock 5 cell w/ bearings? The ground is very bumpy so I don't think its hitting top speed, but does it seem about right?

Sorry, took it off due to its space use. Comcast only gives 20MB or so and I've been to lazy to host my own server. Email me thru tiny if you're interested in seeing it and we can probably work something out.

Sweet, 'nother Drum and Bass fan :P

It's by John B and its called Blue Eyeshadow off of Brainstorm (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000077SWZ/qid=1079406675/sr=1-4/ref=sr_1_4/103-8389045-6644608?v=glance&s=music).

I'm not an 80's fan, but what he does is just awesome. Album starts very 80's, but with a nice D'n'B backbeat, and flows into more standard D'n'B. That track has one of the best basslines I've heard.

Sorry, the video is still down. I'll make a new one at some point if/when I ever get my shaft mod running.
