Quick question...... Could I take apart the Spinbrush motor, rewind the armature with less winds, solder it all back together and get a faster motor? I know with the 1/10 scale cars, less winds is faster....I also know know that this would be at the expense of torque.....

If anyone has any motor building tips...please post em!

Don't just unwind, use thicker (smaller gauge) wire as well. This will compensate for tourqe loss somewhat by increasing current draw.

Thanks for the help all! Ill definetly post the results after I build the motor....should be a couple days....I took it apart once already and took off like 5 winds, didnt notice much of a difference. Thanks to Nuero, Im turning into a mad scientist with the motor building and the spinning of the armature hya hya yeah.....(Too much Simpsons)
Im gonna do a 30 turn motor with the spinbrush, use the backshell of the stage 2 and advance the timing 12 degrees. Ill take some pics and post everything shortly!

Ok, after some research, I think the 30 wind is way to low for what Im looking for. Im gonna try a 40 wind, same way as stated above...... Could someone tell me the difference between a single , double , and triple wind? I might be able to use this to my advantage also. I will take and post pics of everything, once Im done. Look for em next week!!
