I think it is a lie I have never heard of a drift kit or anything of the same type. The only thing that I know of that has a drift kit is microsizers.

it's prolly like 2 hard tread tires, 2 soft slicks, 2 yellow springs, 2 red springs, and a 4.5 degree steering rack

that link is to a NML auction. He is shipping me a motor today with free drift kit. So I'll find out whats in the kit when it gets here.

The drift kit a a whole slew of platic 2x2 and 1x1 sheets (got them with my motor). I e-mailed him about it and he said we will release how to use these in the next few days. I can not wait to see how to use them and if they actually work. I trust him though cause the motor is killer.

how much was the motor seperately.? was it really expensive?

its was $50 and it inlcuded 5 rechargeable mah800 batteries, the motor, a 5 cell mod (if needed), and the drift kit. This was only for the first 5 popele who bought the motors so I wouldnt be too sure what just the motor would cost. I would porbely say around 40 maybe more

did you notice a huge difference in performance over your setup prior to it? I guess what I want to know is... did you think your $50 was well spent?

Its fast, actually a little too fast even w/ AWD. when i first used it I totaled my stock bumper and lost a tire (finally found it the next day) due to the power. The only thing I did not like is that its just the motor, no connector, no gear. I had to rip apart my stage two 11 gear motor for the parts, RIP. anyways overall I believe it was a good buy.

so if given the chance you'd do it again?

Also how hard was swapping parts over? I don't need stuff like a sodering iron do I?

Yeah i would buy another one if the chance arose. For doing the motor you will need to soder the connector and must have a pinion puller to get the gear off, luckily my next store neighbor works on nothing but models and trains had had it handy.

for 4.50 he will sell you a pinion gear and install it. I have one on the way with 9 tooth already installed.

yeah, I ordered the engine before he stated that he could put the gear on. Oh well, save 4.50
