Inspired by CaboWabo's bB Truck Conversion (http://bitpimps.lixlink.com/pages/phpForum/viewtopic.php?t=519) .

Picked up a new 2 pack Toyota bB body kit from my LHS.

Before cutting and chopping.

Cut it into three pieces. Masked the windows before cutting to reduce chances of damage to them.

http://pic8.picturetrail.com/VOL248/1115503/2102813/26189809.jpg
Attached bed and test fit the body onto a ZipZap Chassis.

http://pic8.picturetrail.com/VOL248/1115503/2102813/26194890.jpg
All peices reattached and waiting till all glue to set up before I redo the rear wheel wells.

Glue dried

Moding the back now. Filling in the back end and roll panning the bumper.

Also picked up some Saphire Blue Metal Flake for the body. The idea is when done will have black tinted windows and blue body with 24K Gold accents and have the tail lights in the bumper.

Been a little busy at that shack(yes that is where I work) and finaly got another chance to work on the body.

http://pic8.picturetrail.com/VOL248/1115503/2102813/27156638.jpg
Smothing out the back end and elemating the notch to make it a true custom.

http://pic8.picturetrail.com/VOL248/1115503/2102813/27156646.jpg
Redoing the nose to make it not look as mutch like a Toyota.

Edit: Combined post to show a better flow of work.

but, the bed looks a little long... I would have suggested not shortening the cab or not shortening it as much...

Looks good. I was looking through RCMods.com today and I saw you can also turn one into a Blazer or anyother Suv (hint hint: escalade)

The bed looks longer in the picture than it is because of the camera angle.

I need a vacation for my vacation.

Been busy this week dealing with a daughters wedding.
I did get to redoo the whole back end didn't like the way it was going so I picked up some Styrene sheets.

Paited my first of 6 coats. First Primer coat to help find the minor imperfections.

http://pic8.picturetrail.com/VOL248/1115503/2102813/27461642.jpg
Second coat of gray.

http://pic8.picturetrail.com/VOL248/1115503/2102813/27461631.jpg
Mounted on chassis and gold rims mounted.

First coat of blue. Personaly I don't like it in spots where the primer was thinner and could not tell.

Besides custom tail lights if I can find more space (under the body is less that the thickness of a peice of paper) i'd like to light it up underneath. Also trimming in gold 18k.

Worked on the wheel wells again and basicly started back before painting because of sanding and heating the nose of the truck up to slighly bend the front of the front wheel wells.

http://pic8.picturetrail.com/VOL248/1115503/2102813/28146445.jpg

Added picture on chassis with Alloys minor sanding required to open up rear wells.

If you have been following this thread you know I WAS planning on using the detail parts for a grill. Well I gave up on that idea I realy didn't like the way it looked so I redid the nose.

http://pic8.picturetrail.com/VOL248/1115503/2102813/28455419.jpg

A better view of the nose.

http://pic8.picturetrail.com/VOL248/1115503/2102813/28455439.jpg

I have decal paper on order and need to get new ink for my printer so I can have a different grill.

Very nice touch cj1267! Good detail. The truck is coming along very nicely. I would add some body lines to it though.

The detail on the rims is easy it was the way they came from Germany. $15 a set and EZ is taking a new one at http://bitpimps.lixlink.com/pages/phpForum/viewtopic.php?t=961
They are from

Where did you get that West Coast Choppers decal i want one

cj1267
07-25-2003, 10:45 PM
I found it the same way I found all my decals just search the web and cut and paste. Then get some deacl paper and print it to it, wait for it to dry lightly coat the decal with clear coat, wait for it to dry the cut carefully follow instructions for your type of paper and apply. if you notice the WCC logo is not on the truck. That is what I get for not waiting for it to dry.

http://www.decalpaper.com or http://www.micromark.com you will need white decal paper for any image that needs white since an inkjet CAN NOT print white. I prefer using clear on my decals and paint the car a light color.
